Ulukbek Karmyshakov Appointed Kyrgyzstan's Representative in CIS Economic Commission

Ulukbek Karmyshakov has been appointed as Kyrgyzstan's plenipotentiary representative in the Commission on Economic Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was reported by the president's press service.

Sadyr Japarov signed the corresponding decree.

Ulukbek Karmyshakov replaced Aigul Ryskulova, who had been in the position since February 2020.

He previously served as the head of the Center for Standardization and Metrology and was the chairman of the board of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

The Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States is the main executive body responsible for implementing agreements within the CIS, decisions of the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS on the formation and operation of a free trade zone, and other issues of socio-economic cooperation.
