A Kyrgyz deputy has expressed concerns about the rising xenophobia towards Kyrgyz citizens in Russia following the recent terrorist attack in Moscow. The deputy has called for officials to address the intolerance and visa restrictions proposed by the Russian side, emphasizing the need to combat xenophobic sentiments and protect Kyrgyz nationals from discrimination. In response, another official highlighted the collective efforts within the Eurasian Economic Union to tackle such issues.

The deputy has also urged for a dignified response to Russian officials and lawmakers who make xenophobic remarks, stressing the importance of preventing such behaviors and fostering better relations between the two countries. He noted that Kyrgyz citizens have faced discrimination even before the recent attack, and it has now escalated, calling for proactive measures to address these negative trends.

On March 22, a terrorist attack occurred in the Moscow suburb at the "Crocus City Hall." Four individuals in military attire entered the building, opened fire on concert attendees, and set the hall on fire. The attack led to the tragic deaths of 143 people, with 360 others injured. Nine suspects, including those directly involved in the assault, have been arrested as part of the criminal investigation.
