The Minister of Health, Alymkadyr Beyshenaliyev, met with a Russian delegation led by the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian University, Denis Fominy-Nilov. The meeting focused on the possibility of bilateral cooperation in developing medical care for children in Kyrgyzstan.

Specifically, they discussed the project to establish a children's medical center at the Kyrgyz-Russian University, initiated by the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan, Aigul Zhaparova, in December 2023 during a working meeting with the administrations of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The project aims to build a children's medical center with five departments, including reception, diagnostic and laboratory, day care, and physiotherapy departments.

The Minister emphasized the urgent need for such a center to provide quality medical services to children, especially in the fields of pediatric neurology and rehabilitation for early diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, and other neuromuscular diseases.

The swift support from the Russian side was acknowledged, with both parties confident that the project will be successfully implemented in the near future, strengthening healthcare cooperation between the two countries.
