The press secretary of the president, Askat Alagozov, addressed ministers, presidential representatives, and local authorities, stating that some of them are attempting to circumvent the president's directive and not comply with it. The directive in question concerns measures to further improve housing provision and construction for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the sphere of state housing policy, signed on January 30, 2024.
According to the directive, land plots are to be transferred to the State Mortgage Company for building houses based on mortgages. Instances of document falsification and transfer to private individuals under the pretext of the land being already in private ownership or attempts to retain the plots are observed to avoid transferring them to the State Mortgage Company.
Alagozov warned that those who do not comply with the president's directive within one month will be relieved of their positions. He urged officials to cooperate with the State Mortgage Company, emphasizing the importance of local authorities being actively involved in advancing state policies aimed at providing housing for their regions' populations.
