During a session at the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev asked the Prime Minister about the number of houses to be constructed under the state mortgage program. Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov mentioned that initially 2 billion soms were allocated, but the President now aims to secure 10 billion soms for the project and is currently seeking sources for financing.
Japarov also noted that houses on Skryabina Street in Bishkek are ready, with the Prosecutor General's Office constructing a large building where half of the apartments will be allocated to social workers. Bekeshev mentioned previous plans for the State Mortgage Company to build 7,000 apartments in the capital.
In mid-March, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree transferring the Cabinet of Ministers' authority to act as a shareholder in the State Mortgage Company to the President's Office, directing the company's shares under presidential administration.
