Candidates Registered for By-Election in Batken Electoral District

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed the registration of candidates for the Jogorku Kenesh deputies in the Batken electoral district. The mandate became vacant after the CEC prematurely terminated the powers of Nurlan Rajabaliyev based on his submitted statement. The new MP will be elected on April 28th.

A total of 12 individuals submitted statements of intent to participate in the by-elections for this district, but later two withdrew their participation. Consequently, 10 candidates have been registered. Let's get acquainted with those who have decided to participate in the parliamentary race:

1. Kenesh Salikhov: Director of the Geopark Madygen. Previously served as the head of the village council of Samarkandek, akim of the Batken district, and the first deputy to the president's representative in the Batken region. Ran for parliament in the previous elections.

2. Jalil Karabotov: Pensioner.

3. Turgunbay Nishanbaev: Pensioner and former head of the Kara-Baksk village council.

4. Baktyiar Kalpaev: Director of Comfort House LLC. Previously affiliated with the party "Mekenchil," led by Kamchybek Tashiev, and later listed as a candidate from the "Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan" party.

5. Asylbek Madaliev: Teacher at the IT school "Sanarip Academy." Running for this district for the second time.

6. Akimali Satarov: Private entrepreneur and sports master.

7. Ashirbai Raimkulov: Senior master at Vocational School No. 57 in Batken.

8. Zamirbek Kozhonov: Chairman of the Iskhak-Polotkhansk village council.

9. Bakytbek Shadymanov: Private entrepreneur.

10. Mahmud Oytemirov: General Director of Jazeera Travel LLC. Previously worked as the general director of Baryp-Tour Airlines and Tours, as well as the head of the labor department at the Ministry of Labor and a lecturer at Kyrgyz National University.
