Candidates Registered for Early Elections in Kara-Suu District of Kyrgyzstan

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed the registration of candidates for the Jogorku Kenesh deputies in the Kara-Suu electoral district. The mandate became vacant after Iskender Matraimov resigned. The new member of parliament will be elected on April 28.

A total of 12 individuals have submitted their intentions to participate in the early elections for this district, and all of them have been registered. Let's get acquainted with some of the candidates who have decided to enter the parliamentary race.

- Bakytbek Bakir, the brother of former Jogorku Kenesh deputy Tursunbay Bakir, is running for office in the Osh district. He listed his occupation as a retiree and an individual entrepreneur.

- Raimzhan Kurbanov, the president of the "Kyrgyz Tili" society, is also among the candidates.

- Tolkun Egeshov, the head of the interregional office of the legal aid service at the Ministry of Justice, ran for parliament in 2021.

- Ganisher Badalov, known as a delegate of the People's Kurultai, is also in the race.

- Sanjar Alimzhan uulu, a businessman who previously ran with the "Ishenim" party, is seeking election again.

- Damirbek Davlyanov, a retiree from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is making another attempt after an unsuccessful bid in 2022.

- Turdubek Orunbaev, a private entrepreneur and one of the founders of the socio-political party "Unity in Strength," previously ran for the Osh city council in April 2021.

- Ilimbek Kubanychbekov, an assistant to a Jogorku Kenesh deputy, participated in the 2020 elections with the Kyrgyzstan party.

- Stalbek Azhimamatov, the director of "Eurasia Construction Group," is also on the candidate list.

- Ruslan Mamatov, temporarily unemployed, briefly served as the akim of the Kara-Suu district.

- Amirbek Djunusov and Rustam Mamazakirov, both currently unemployed, are also in the running for the vacant parliamentary seat. The latter has a background as a lecturer in civil law at Osh State University.

These candidates will compete for the opportunity to represent the Kara-Suu district in the upcoming elections, showcasing the diverse backgrounds and experiences they bring to the political arena.
