The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, has arrived in Kyrgyzstan, as confirmed by the government's press service. Bektenov is in the country on a working visit, with coverage of the trip restricted to only state media. This marks his first visit to Kyrgyzstan as Prime Minister.
At the State Residence "Ala-Archa," talks are currently underway between the Kyrgyz Prime Minister, Akylbek Zaparov, and Olzhas Bektenov. The discussions focus on bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, culture, humanitarian issues, and education.
A key topic of the meeting is the upcoming visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zaparov to Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz Prime Minister congratulated Olzhas Bektenov on his appointment as Prime Minister and thanked Kazakhstan for their support following the accident at the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant in February 2024.
