The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, addressed the suspension of the "Mir" card service in Kyrgyzstan in an interview with the "Kabar" agency. Japarov emphasized that the government is not afraid of any sanctions, stating that life continues even in their presence. He also mentioned that there are no objective reasons for imposing sanctions and clarified that it was not the government who suspended the "Mir" card service.

Japarov highlighted that even the National Bank does not have control over the Interbank Processing Center (IPC), which is owned by over 54% of commercial banks. He speculated that commercial banks might have feared potential sanctions, expressing his belief that the "Mir" card would have been more beneficial for Kyrgyzstan than for Russians.

The Prime Minister suggested that commercial banks may have been concerned about possible sanctions. He expressed disappointment that Russia has not opened a bank or branch in Kyrgyzstan despite promises made. Japarov emphasized the importance of the "Mir" card system for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia and the government's three-year-long request for Russia to establish a bank or branch in Kyrgyzstan.

In conclusion, Japarov expressed hope that Russia would consider opening at least one bank branch in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the significance of maintaining financial services for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia.
