President Sadyr Japarov conducted a working meeting during his trip to the Jalal-Abad region, focusing on the region's socio-economic development. The President was briefed by the representative of the President in Jalal-Abad region, Absattar Syrgabaev, and the mayor of the city, Ernisbek Ormokov, on the work done in 2023 and plans for the current year.
After reviewing the information, President Japarov expressed satisfaction with the positive changes in the region and the city of Jalal-Abad in recent years. He instructed to continue the active work aimed at improving the well-being of the people and to intensify systematic measures for entrepreneurship development and creating new jobs.
A brief presentation of the Friendship Park of the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia was presented to President Japarov, the construction of which began in October 2023. The master plan of the park has been drafted and agreed upon, with land works already commenced.
The Friendship Park is an ecological park with an estimated total area of 8.16 hectares. It is expected to feature public areas, a children's playground, a dry fountain, a sports zone, an event area, art objects, stands, park pavilions, a bike path, and an amphitheater with 150 seats, among other facilities. The project's total cost is $2 million.
