The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the preliminary voter lists for the Batken No. 2 and Kara-Suu No. 9 single-mandate electoral districts. These lists were compiled based on data from the Ministry of Digital Development and made available on the state portal of voters "Tizme". They will also be displayed at 143 polling stations until March 12, 2024.
According to the CEC, the preliminary voter list for the Batken district includes 112,432 voters, and for Kara-Suu district - 111,924 voters. The verification of lists during the election period is carried out daily in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development. The CEC urges voters to verify their information in the list from March 12 to April 17 by calling short numbers 1255 or 119, visiting a polling station, accessing the website tizme.gov.kg, or sending an SMS to short number 119 with their Personal Identification Number (PIN) to receive their polling station number and address (SMS and calls are free).
If any errors or inaccuracies are found, or if a voter's name is missing from the list, individuals can apply to the precinct election commission by April 17 to correct their data, providing a copy of their passport. In this case, voters undergo biometric identification. Applications can also be submitted electronically through the "Voter's Cabinet" service on the tizme.gov.kg website following the legal authentication process.
Citizens who have not undergone biometric registration can update their passport details at the Population Service Centers (PSC). It is important to note that on April 28, by-elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will take place in the Batken and Kara-Suu single-mandate electoral districts. These positions became vacant after the CEC prematurely terminated the powers of Iskender Matraimov and Nurlan Rajabaliyev based on their submitted statements.
