Prosecutor General Reports Over 19,000 Violations Revealed in Kyrgyzstan

The Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues, and Regulation of the Jogorku Kenesh, along with the Committee on Law and Order, Combating Crime, and Anti-Corruption, held a joint meeting today to hear the report of Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev.

According to the head of the oversight body, the General Prosecutor's Office conducted 7,922 inspections in 2023 to ensure the precise and uniform enforcement of laws. As a result, 19,160 violations of legislation were identified, leading to the issuance of 9,370 prosecutorial response acts to address them. 5,242 officials were held accountable for disciplinary action.

Through prosecutorial responses, the state was reimbursed over 738 million soms in monetary value and over 11 billion soms in natural equivalent.
