During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Jusupbek Korgonbay uulu requested the Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev to provide a legal assessment regarding the acquittal of the Health Ministry advisor. He raised concerns about the relationship between the judiciary and the Ministry of Health. The head of the supervisory body mentioned that a commission was formed to investigate the matter and they will monitor its progress.
Additionally, Korgonbay uulu inquired about criminal cases initiated against the Health Minister. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Erkebek Ashirkhojaev, revealed that eight criminal cases were opened against him in 2022 but were later dropped due to lack of evidence. The Prosecutor General stated that the cases were initiated by the General Prosecutor's Office and not the police to avoid conflicts of interest. Korgonbay uulu asked if the cases could be reopened, to which the Prosecutor General responded affirmatively if there are grounds to do so.
Previously, Korgonbay uulu accused the Health Minister of ties to organized crime and corruption during a parliamentary session. A parliamentary commission was established to investigate the Ministry of Health's activities following these allegations.
It's worth noting that on March 14th, during a Jogorku Kenesh session, Korgonbay uulu referred to the Health Minister as a "black surgeon" and claimed an increase in hospital mortality rates since his appointment. The Health Minister, Alymkadyr Beyshenaliev, responded to the accusations by emphasizing his commitment to providing medical assistance to all patients regardless of their social status. Beyshenaliev also mentioned that the Deputy's resentment stemmed from his desire to lead the ministry.
