Enhancing Kyrgyz-Kazakh Relations: Presidents Discuss Deepening Cooperation

During an official visit to Astana, President Sadyr Japarov engaged in talks with Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The discussions focused on priority areas of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in trade, economy, water-energy, transport, border, and cultural-humanitarian sectors.

Tokayev expressed gratitude to Japarov and the Kyrgyz people for their fraternal humanitarian assistance during the extensive floods in Kazakhstan. Both leaders signed a historic document to deepen and expand their alliance, aiming to boost Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations.

Highlighting the close ties between the two nations, Japarov emphasized Kazakhstan as a top priority in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. The longstanding friendship, brotherhood, shared values, and traditions between Kyrgyz and Kazakhs were underscored.

Japarov noted Kazakhstan as a key trade partner for Kyrgyzstan. The countries are actively implementing bilateral investment projects such as solar power plants, ferroalloy plants, and an industrial-trade-logistics center, further strengthening ties between the two nations.

In conclusion, the presidents reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across all sectors in the spirit of allied relations and strategic partnership.
