During his working visit to the United States, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov met with the President of the International Republican Institute (IRI), Daniel Twining, and the Eurasia Director of the organization, Stephen Nix. The meeting involved discussions on democratic and socio-economic development in Kyrgyzstan.
"We, as a team under the leadership of the head of state, are very proud of the significant progress achieved in the socio-economic development sphere. We have nearly tripled the country's budget revenue and doubled the GDP, thanks to the relentless fight against corruption. This is conscientious governance that has been talked about for years. This is the victory of democracy and the rule of law. The level of support for our president's policies, according to a recent survey, stands at 82 percent, compared to 86 percent a year ago. This is a strong mandate for further bold reforms," stated Akylbek Japarov.
He emphasized that the overwhelming support of the people demonstrates the resilience of the democratic system in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at strengthening the rule of law and improving the standard of living for citizens. In turn, the IRI leadership expressed readiness for cooperation and support of joint initiatives.
