Shailoobek Atazov, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh undergoing medical treatment in Turkey, has commented on the Administrative Court of Bishkek's decision to strip him of his mandate. The court recognized Abdurakhmanhadzhi Murtazaliev as the elected deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh for the Sverdlovsk electoral district in February 2022, a decision Atazov deems illegal.
Atazov criticized the ruling, stating that it is not supported by the Constitution or laws, damaging the state structure and judiciary. He accused certain political groups of influencing the decision for their interests and expressed his frustration with the pressure he has faced in recent months.
The deputy emphasized that the issue is not about his mandate but about justice and legality, calling for a fight against political groups causing harm to the state structure. The Central Election Commission plans to challenge the Administrative Court's decision regarding Murtazaliev's election as a parliament deputy.
In February 2022, Abdurakhmanhadzhi Murtazaliev won the elections in the Sverdlovsk district but had his registration canceled following a decision by the Supreme Court and the Central Election Commission. Atazov was then declared the deputy for the Sverdlovsk district.
Murtazaliev was removed from the race due to testimonies from two women, whom he claimed he had no relations with and who were not his campaigners.
