144 Beekeeping Farms Opened Under "Social Contract" Program

in Politics / Kyrgyzstan - by

Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration Gulnara Baatyrova recently announced the launch of 144 beekeeping farms as part of the "Social Contract" program. During a visit to Sulaiman Bataev, one of the program participants, Baatyrova highlighted the success and impact of the initiative. Over the last two years, 144 families, who each received government support of 100,000 soms, have invested in beekeeping. Sulaiman Bataev, a father of 10, serves as a shining example of the business idea's success.

In addition to Bataev, Baatyrova visited Fatima Kubaeva, a mother of five, who, with state assistance, established a greenhouse to grow vegetables and seedlings for sale at the Tokmak market. The minister also observed the business of Zulfia Malosieva, who is engaged in cattle breeding.

Baatyrova stressed that animal husbandry is a traditional industry in the country, attracting many participants under the "Social Contract," alongside agriculture. Zulfia Malosieva's project, which began with the purchase of one cow, has shown significant expansion. By selling five calves, she has managed to generate a good income.

The Ministry, while guiding individuals interested in joining the "Social Contract," provides training in marketing, financial literacy, and taxation to explore opportunities in various sectors beyond agriculture and animal husbandry for prospective participants.
