Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has departed for Azerbaijan on a state visit, as confirmed by the president's press service. During the visit, the head of state will hold bilateral talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the prospects for further development and strengthening of effective cooperation. Additionally, the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Council is planned, where a Joint Declaration of the Presidents and a number of agreements aimed at deepening partnership in trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian spheres will be signed.
The heads of the two states will also participate in a ceremony laying the foundation stone for the construction of a secondary school in the village of Khidirli. The official delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic includes:
