At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies considered and adopted the bill "On Amending the Law 'On Notaries' in the third reading.
The document is aimed at humanizing the process of revoking and issuing licenses for the right to engage in notarial activities.
The project proposes to establish that a notary cannot be a person who has previously committed an intentional crime, regardless of whether the conviction has been lifted or extinguished, or in the case where criminal prosecution for serious and especially grave crimes has been terminated on non-rehabilitative grounds.
Furthermore, the suspension period for the licenses of private notaries has been revised, allowing for a proportional response to violations identified in their professional activities and setting clear time frames for disciplinary measures against private notaries.
The notarial law also grants private notaries the ability to perform the same notarial actions as state notaries. This equality is aimed at reducing queues, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and high-quality notarial services for the population.
