Leader of the "Butun Kyrgyzstan" party, member of the Jogorku Kenesh Adahan Madumarov has been released from the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. Around 50-60 supporters gathered to meet him.
When asked about his mandate and the appeal, the politician stated that he will continue to fight, emphasizing that everything has its time.
Adahan Madumarov was arrested on September 2, 2023. He was accused of state treason related to the 2009 protocol on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. Later, he faced an additional charge of embezzlement, involving the personal use of $50,000 from the party's funds.
On March 26, 2024, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek found Adahan Madumarov guilty of state treason and embezzlement. However, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, the politician was released from punishment. Nevertheless, since the pre-trial detention measure was not changed, he remained in custody until today.
