President Japarov Allocates Financial Aid to Great Patriotic War Veterans

President Sadyr Japarov has signed an order to provide one-time financial assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. This information was reported by the press service of the head of state.

The decision was made in consideration of the worldwide historical significance of the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as in celebration of the 79th anniversary of Victory.

As of April 1, 2024, there are 41 veterans residing in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the order, it is instructed to allocate 4,141,000 soms from the President's fund for the payment of one-time financial assistance in the amount of 100,000 soms to the following categories of World War II veterans:

- Invalids of the Great Patriotic War;

- Participants of the Great Patriotic War;

- Individuals who were underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention created by the fascists and their allies during the Second World War;

- Individuals who worked in enterprises, institutions, and organizations in Leningrad during the blockade from September 8, 1941, to January 27, 1944, and were awarded the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad," as well as individuals awarded the badge "Resident of the Blockaded Leningrad."
