President Sadyr Japarov Strengthens Economic Ties with Shaanxi Province, China

President Sadyr Japarov met with the head of the people's government of Shaanxi Province (People's Republic of China), Zhao Gan, who arrived on a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The discussions revolved around expanding cooperation, prospective projects, particularly in areas such as energy, natural resource use, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, transportation logistics, investments, and more.

The head of state expressed satisfaction with the trends of strengthening positive relations between Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province observed in recent years.

Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that Zhao Gan's current visit will contribute to the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province, especially in terms of economic relations.

He emphasized that the current relations between Kyrgyzstan and China are at an unprecedentedly high level, especially after elevating bilateral cooperation to a comprehensive strategic partnership. China has been and continues to be one of Kyrgyzstan's important partners in the economic and investment sphere for many years.

Sadyr Japarov invited Chinese state and private enterprises, particularly investors from Shaanxi Province, to do business in Kyrgyzstan and implement mutually beneficial investment projects.

Regarding specific projects with Shaanxi Province, the head of state highlighted the project to resume operations at the "Junda" oil refinery, which will be put into operation in the near future after completion of the modernization works.

Zhao Gan of Shaanxi Province noted that this is his first visit to Kyrgyzstan, aimed at further strengthening and implementing projects and agreements reached earlier between the leaders of the two countries.

He underscored that the delegation he leads has been tasked with taking necessary measures to expand areas of cooperation with the Kyrgyz side and increase the volume of trade between Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province.

Additionally, he expressed hope that through railway projects between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as the "China-Europe Express" railway, trade volumes between Shaanxi Province and Central Asia, particularly with Kyrgyzstan, will be expanded.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to deepen mutually beneficial partnership and develop comprehensive cooperation with Shaanxi Province.
