During a working visit, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, met with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The meeting focused on the further development of trade and economic relations, including increasing the volume of mutual trade, joint implementation of large investment and infrastructure projects, and the development of cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, logistics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to discussing the project for the construction of the transcontinental railway China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan, as well as issues related to the construction of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1 and two hydroelectric power stations on the Chatkal River.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 3rd Tashkent International Investment Forum.
