The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, during a working visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Rena-Basso. The meeting was confirmed by the government's press service.
According to the press service, Akylbek Japarov outlined the priority areas of the national development program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026, proposing cooperation in the fields of:
- Water resources
- Mining industry
- Agro-industry
- Transportation
- Light industry
- Construction
"All these sectors require the support of international development partners. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has developed 100 projects at the state level. Support is needed to address issues, especially in the field of water resources," stated the head of the cabinet.
Odile Rena-Basso mentioned that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is ready to support state projects aimed at improving public governance.
