"Coordinators did not receive official documents banning the action. We have no information other than the press release that the Ministry of Internal Affairs distributed on May 1 without prior notice. We ask for clarification: if the action is prohibited, then to which cities does this ban apply? And if possible, to provide clear reasons for the ban. People are waiting for an answer and want to honor the memory of their heroes on Victory Day," the statement said.

It is worth noting that in its release, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the "event was canceled to ensure public order and safety."
