During a working trip to Osh, President Sadyr Japarov announced that the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will begin in October of this year. This was reported by "Azattyk".

Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is currently a landlocked country in terms of logistics, having to rely on the railway connections of Kazakhstan and Russia to access the world.

"When the railway is built, we will be able to connect to the world. This will be our own path," stated Sadyr Japarov.

The railway in Kyrgyzstan will stretch 311 kilometers and will run through the route of Torugart - Kosh-Dobo - Kazarmаn - Jalal-Abad. The estimated cost of the project is $4.7 billion.
