Kyrgyzstan Honors Great Patriotic War Veterans with Financial Assistance

In Kyrgyzstan, there are 39 veterans of the Great Patriotic War remaining, as reported by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration.

Among them are 3 disabled individuals, 18 war participants, 8 former prisoners of concentration camps, and 10 Leningrad blockade survivors. These veterans receive a monthly monetary compensation of 7,000 soms and a lifelong stipend of 10,000 soms, according to the ministry.

Additionally, there are 552 home front workers in the country, with 86 disabled individuals receiving a compensation of 2,000 soms per month, while the rest receive 1,000 soms.

All of them are entitled to one-time payments from the republican budget. The veterans of the Great Patriotic War will receive 20,000 soms each, while the home front workers honored for their valiant work and the widows of those who perished during the war will receive 15,000 soms each, as noted by the Ministry of Labor.

Furthermore, President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree to provide one-time financial assistance to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Each of them will receive 100,000 soms from the head of state's fund by May 9th.
