In this year, a decision has been made to restrict the movement of the "Immortal Regiment" march. Deputy Chief of the Public Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurlan Ismailov, announced this at a press conference.

According to him, an analysis of the operational situation has been conducted, and as a result, a decision has been made to limit the movement of the mass march in Bishkek from the South gates to Victory Square.

Restrictive measures are being introduced throughout the republic. Please consider this as measures for the safety of our citizens. All other mass events at their venues will be monitored.

He added that from May 1 to May 10, the personnel and internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been put on high alert.

"The 'Immortal Regiment' requires a great expenditure of forces and means, especially considering the long route. The event should not be limited to just a pedestrian march; there are other formats for conducting the 'Immortal Regiment'," said the Deputy Chief of the Public Safety Service.

No strict restrictions will be imposed. If a person privately goes out with a veteran's portrait and walks without violating public order or obstructing traffic, then I see no problems here.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Public Movement of War Veterans in Afghanistan and Military Conflicts "Combat Brotherhood" of the Kyrgyz Republic, Emilbek Unkuev, clarified that this is not a ban, but a restriction.

"The 'Immortal Regiment' is being held in a different format this year. Yesterday we had a car rally in the southeast part of the city, today the guys went to the village of Belovodskoye and the city of Shopokov. We set a record when Bishkek ranked second in terms of the massiveness of the march among the CIS countries, only Belarus surpassed us last year," noted Emilbek Unkuev.

The coordinator of the "Immortal Regiment Kyrgyzstan" campaign, Zulfira Khaybullina, emphasized that pages of the "Immortal Regiment" will be active on social media. Citizens are expected to share reports and information about veterans.
