Balykchy Municipality Receives One Billion Soms for City Development Plan

Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov visited Balykchy. He met with municipal officials and discussed the city's development plan for the next three years.

To implement the ambitious plans of the Balykchy municipality, one billion soms have been allocated from the state budget. The plan includes the reconstruction of the municipal hotel, the construction of asphalt and concrete plants, and the conversion of a former restaurant into a 150-seat kindergarten. Additionally, there are plans to build a modern art gallery, an IT library, and reconstruct the city streets.

The Balykchy leadership also aims to create a municipal hub for heavy-duty vehicles, a park, build housing for employees of budget organizations, and reconstruct irrigation and drainage systems.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the city will receive 300 million soms for the presented plan. He also received information on the reconstruction projects of the bus stations in Karakol and Balykchy, and inspected the repair work on the Balykchy - Barskoon highway.
