Implementation of the state program for the study of history "Көөнө тарых сырлары" has begun in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the government's press service.
President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree at the end of 2022 to provide state support for the preservation, study, and popularization of objects of historical and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic. The aim is to ensure the preservation and effective use of objects of historical and cultural heritage that hold unique value for the people of Kyrgyzstan.
The Cabinet of Ministers has developed a state program for the preservation, study, and conducting of archaeological excavations of objects of historical and cultural heritage for the years 2023-2027.
Representatives of archaeological and ethnographic scientific expeditions were sent to regions by the Kyrgyz National Historical Museum for further work. As part of the program, 14 groups will be operating this year.
At the President of the Kyrgyz Republic's instruction, financial resources have been allocated for the first time for archaeological and ethnographic research to implement this program.
