President Sadyr Japarov met with a delegation from Inonu University in Malatya, Turkey to discuss the development of organ transplantation services, high-tech treatment, and measures to reduce mortality in Kyrgyzstan. Japarov highlighted the need for citizens to travel abroad for transplant services due to the lack of local experience. However, the country's healthcare system boasts skilled professionals aiming to align with global advances in transplantology.

Japarov revealed plans to fund kidney transplant surgeries for 50 citizens this year, with each operation allocated $7,000 from the national budget. The next step involves liver transplants for patients in need, with research on organ transplantation issues within the country and lessons from foreign counterparts. The President envisions establishing a leading liver transplant coordination center in Kyrgyzstan to enhance transplant services and lower mortality rates.

The Inonu University delegation, led by Rector Ahmet Kızılay, arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the instructions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to share expertise in organ transplant service development. The university's medical center, named after former Turkish President Turgut Ozal, is a prominent clinic for organ transplants, having conducted over 3,700 successful surgeries in 22 years.

The Rector mentioned that 65 Kyrgyz medical specialists have received liver transplant training at the center and are now contributing to the country's healthcare system. Additionally, 33 Kyrgyz professionals are currently upgrading their skills at the center. In conclusion, the Inonu University expressed readiness to support the establishment of a primary liver transplant coordination center in Kyrgyzstan.
