in Politics / Kyrgyzstan - by

The Ministry of Finance has announced that 7 billion som will be allocated for activities related to the preparation and conduct of the autumn-winter period in 2024. This funding includes 1.7 billion som for subsidizing thermal energy for the state enterprise "Kyrgyzteploenergo", 184 million som for compensating a 50% discount on electricity payments for the population living in high-mountain, hard-to-reach, and remote areas, and 430.3 million som for purchasing coal and other types of fuel for budgetary organizations.

Already in January-February, 1.7 billion som has been allocated from the total budget. This financial support aims to ensure that essential services such as heating and electricity are provided efficiently during the challenging winter season, particularly in regions with harsh weather conditions. The allocation of funds for winter preparations demonstrates the government's commitment to the well-being and comfort of its citizens, especially those living in remote and difficult-to-access areas.
