The United Nations has published a ranking of countries with the highest levels of human development. According to the Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Kyrgyzstan has risen one position to 117th out of 193 countries in 2022.

Baisalov highlighted that Kyrgyzstan's Human Development Index increased to 0.701 (from 0.692), placing the country in the high human development group. He emphasized that only data from the previous year was considered, excluding the achievements of the past year.

Acknowledging that 117th place is still relatively low, Baisalov stressed the importance of Kyrgyzstan's own efforts to align itself with developed nations on the international stage.
