Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov Amends Moratorium on Business Checks

Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov has made amendments to his Decree "On the Introduction of a Temporary Ban (Moratorium) on Inspections of Business Entities" dated January 9, 2024, No. 1. The presidential press service reported this update.

The document specifies that the moratorium does not apply to inspections carried out:

- at the request of officials of state bodies in case of specific violations of Kyrgyzstan's legislation by business entities, with the submission of documents, materials, and other supporting information;

- by the Tax Service;

- by customs authorities;

- regarding compliance with legislation in the field of food safety;

- by the National Bank in accordance with banking legislation.

Additionally, the General Prosecutor's Office, in conjunction with the presidential administration, has been tasked with analyzing the system for recording inspections of business entities conducted by state bodies within a two-week period. They are also to develop a mechanism for recording inspections of business entities, evaluating the effectiveness of the inspections conducted.
