Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov recently attended a football match between Kyrgyzstan and Chinese Taipei national teams at the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium in the capital city. The match was a part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Kyrgyzstan emerged victorious with a scoreline of 5-1, much to the delight of over 13,000 fans in attendance. Following the match, President Japarov visited the Kyrgyz team's locker room to personally congratulate the players on their impressive win.
During his visit, President Japarov commended the players for their dedication and preparation, acknowledged the hard work of the coaching staff, and expressed gratitude for the positive emotions the team brought to the fans. He extended his best wishes for the national team's continued success in international competitions and assured them of full support from the state.
In an earlier encounter on March 21, Kyrgyzstan had defeated Chinese Taipei in Gaoshung (PRC) with a score of 2-0.
