Athletes from Kyrgyzstan have clinched four medals on the opening day of the World Deaf Taekwondo Championship being held in Bishkek. The news was shared by deafsport.kgz on Instagram.
- Kyrgyz athlete Dilfat Imenov secured a bronze medal in the under 54-kilogram weight category.
- Asylkhan Turdukulova won silver in the under 46-kilogram category.
- Aiganys Sarzhanova (under 46 kilograms) and Gulzhan Dzhanaliev (under 49 kilograms) both took home bronze medals.
The World Deaf Taekwondo Championship among hearing-impaired athletes kicked off in Bishkek on March 26 and will conclude on March 29. A total of 120 taekwondo practitioners from 14 countries are participating in the event.
