The Asian Wrestling Championship in Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women's wrestling will be held in Bishkek from April 11 to 16. This announcement was made by the President of the Wrestling Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Melis Turganbaev, during a press conference.
The opening ceremony is set to be graced by the presence of the Prime Minister, Akylbek Japarov. Bishkek has previously hosted the Asian Championship in 2007 and 2018.
Additionally, from April 19 to 21, Bishkek will be the venue for the Asian Olympic Qualifiers. Wrestlers Ayperi Medet kyzy, Aisuluu Tynybekova, Akzhol Makhmudov, and Zholaman Sharshenbekov, along with swimmer Denis Petrashov, have already secured their spots.
