The first stage of the Sambo Grand Prix in 2024 took place in the city of Kemerovo. This event was reported on the website of the All-Russian Federation of this sport. Kyrgyzstani athlete Bekbolot Toktogonov won the bronze medal in the weight category of over 98 kilograms.
According to the information, each weight category had four participants: two athletes who qualified based on the results of the championship and the Russian Cup, one foreign sambo wrestler, and a representative from the region where the Grand Prix is held. The prize fund of the tournament amounted to over 1 million rubles.
