Another Kyrgyz athlete, Ernazar Akmataliev, has secured a spot at the Paris Olympics. The news was announced on the UWW website.
Competing in the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in Bishkek in the 65kg weight category, Akmataliev faced off against a wrestler from North Korea in the final. His victory in the match granted him the coveted Olympic license.
This marks the seventh Olympic license for Kyrgyzstan, with wrestlers Zholaaman Sharshenbekov, Aisuluu Tynybekova, Aiperi Medet kyzy, Akzhol Mahmudov, and Bekzat Almaz uulu, as well as swimmer Denis Petrashov, already securing their spots at the Games.
