Kyrgyzstani athlete Erlan Sherov has secured a bronze medal at the Asian Judo Championships. The Kyrgyz Judo Federation announced the news on their social media platforms.
Competing in the under 90-kilogram weight category, Sherov began his journey from the round of 1/8. He defeated an athlete from India but unfortunately lost to a judoka from Lebanon in the quarterfinals.
In the first round of the consolation tournament, Erlan Sherov emerged victorious against Komromsoh Yustopirion from Tajikistan and then went on to defeat Aram Grigoryan from the UAE.
