Mountaineer Eduard Kubatov Sets Guinness World Record for Everest Ascent

President of the Federation of Mountaineering and Rock Climbing of the Kyrgyz Republic, Eduard Kubatov, has made it into the Guinness World Records. This was announced by the former CEO of KTRK, Ilm Karipbekov, on his Facebook page.

"The news that he himself is not aware of, but I found out three days ago, waiting for his return from rotation. He has recently returned and is currently at the Everest base camp, resting and not even suspecting that Guinness World Records has recently registered his world record - Kubatov Eduard Zhumakadyrovich is the oldest person in history to climb to the top of Mount Manaslu - 8,163 meters without oxygen!" noted Ilm Karipbekov.

It is worth mentioning that Kyrgyzstani Eduard Kubatov conquered the highest peak on Earth - Mount Everest on May 23, 2021. He has a passion for mountaineering. On February 3, 2013, an expedition, in which he participated, planted the flag of Kyrgyzstan on Mount Aconcagua in South America.

Eduard Kubatov is the second Kyrgyzstani to successfully summit Everest. The first was Dmitry Grekov in 1997.
