Kyrgyzstan Sports Update: Muay Thai World Championship, Kok-Boru Tournament, Boxing Championship, and More

Kyrgyzstan's national Muay Thai team is set to compete in the World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. The team includes Aliya Saalyeva, Mahabat Orozbekova, Sultan Atageldiyev, Milana Shikshabekova, Ahmed Ashurbekov, Mukhammed Ali Aliev, Farida Abdueva, and Diana Zainitdinova, with Alexander Kononenko as the head coach.

In another sporting event, the Kok-Boru tournament "Nooruz-2024" will take place in Bishkek. Teams are divided into four leagues: Premier (six teams), First (12 teams), Second (16 teams), and Legends League (six teams).

Moreover, the Youth Boxing Championship of the Kyrgyz Republic will be held in Bishkek, where young male and female boxers will compete across 20 weight categories to determine the strongest.

Kyrgyzstan will also participate in the qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Chinese Taipei in Gaoshung, Chinese Taipei, on March 21.

Furthermore, Kyrgyzstan will be represented by eight athletes in the Grand Slam Judo Tournament in Tbilisi, Georgia, from March 22 to 24.

Lastly, the Spring Chess Tournament "Altyn Tuyun Cup - 2024" will be held in Bishkek, following the FIDE Chess Code rules and the Swiss system format across seven to nine rounds, depending on the number of participants.
