Tajikistan Receives €91 Million from EU for Priority Projects

Tajikistan has received €91 million from the European Union as part of the implementation of the first phase of the Multi-annual Indicative Program (MIP) from 2021 to 2024 for priority projects in the republic. This information was shared by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan following the meeting of the subcommittee on cooperation development between the republic and the EU.

The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Tajikistan, Ashurboi Solehzoda, and the Ambassador, Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic, Raimundas Karoblis, took place on March 12.

According to the ministry, during the meeting, EU representatives informed that "a new EU MIP project for 2024-2027 is under development, and its financing volume will be determined in 2024." This financial support from the EU is expected to significantly contribute to the development and implementation of crucial projects in Tajikistan, fostering cooperation and partnership between the two entities.
