President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon regularly emphasizes the rational use of land and the necessity of applying innovative technologies to increase crop yields. However, this is proving to be challenging as dehkans simply do not have sufficient resources for this. In Tajikistan, the main entities in agricultural production are dehkan-farmer households and cooperatives.
There are not many land plots suitable for agricultural production in the republic. Despite the efforts and initiatives of President Rahmon, the lack of resources remains a significant obstacle for dehkans to fully embrace innovative technologies and increase agricultural productivity. The government may need to explore additional support measures to help these entities overcome financial constraints and improve their farming practices.
