In Turkmenistan, the first joint Turkmen-French concert "Baroque-Bakshi" took place featuring French pianist Joanna Gudal and Turkmen dutar player Osman Gudjiev accompanied by the Youth Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Rasul Klychev, as reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
The artists managed to harmoniously blend ancient French music with melodies of the Great Silk Road in their performance. The concert was divided into two parts - thematic and conceptual. The repertoire included music by Rameau, Sufi music, Turkmen folk song "Nar agadzhi", French Baroque-era songs, and other works.
After the concert, Osman shared that it was easy and interesting to work with Joanna. To conclude the evening, Joanna, Rasul, and Osman participated in a photoshoot, highlighting the successful collaboration and cultural exchange through music.
