National leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he familiarized himself with the activities of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Association (IAHA) and the preparations for the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, as reported by TDH.
Heading to the event venue for the upcoming celebrations, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty listened to the report of the Vice President of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Association, B. Rejepov, who briefed on the Association's activities and the preparations for the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse.
The Vice President highlighted the increase in the Akhal-Teke horse population this year due to a significant number of offspring. The national leader named a newborn colt "Shahyr" and presented it with a traditional amulet called "aladju".
Emphasizing the joyous occasion of the colt's birth during these spring days, the national leader noted Shahyr's unique color and ability to hold its head high. He stressed the importance of efforts to preserve and develop the Akhal-Teke breed at a modern level, passed down by ancestors, and to train a new, more skilled generation of horse specialists.
