The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey in collaboration with TURKSOY organized the international film festival "Turkistan", with participants from 77 countries around the world. This information was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Films from the "Turkmenfilm" association named after Oguzkhan were showcased as part of the festival program, among a total of 1055 films from cinematographers of various countries. Turkmenistan was represented by the films "Ol Rumystany görsem" directed by Kh. Alovov, "Umyt" directed by I. Annamukhammedov, and "Meniň kakam" directed by A. Eeberdyev. Two Turkmen films - "Ol Rumystany görsem", made in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, and "Umyt" - were awarded special prizes and diplomas by the jury of the international film festival "Turkistan".
The "Turkmenfilm" association named after Oguzkhan was recognized with an award for its contribution to the culture of Turkic peoples.
