During a Cabinet meeting on April 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, reported on measures being taken to enhance cooperation with foreign partners in the field of ecology. The news was reported by the online publication "Vestiabad."
In order to implement the presidential "Caspian Environmental Initiative," a round table is planned for the second half of April 2024 with the participation of representatives from the UN and other international organizations, the Caspian Sea Institute, universities, and ministries of Turkmenistan.
A proposal has been made to join the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Additionally, a proposal for Turkmenistan to join the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums has been submitted for the President's consideration.
