The Turkmenistan National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi recently organized a French language olympiad for students in grades 9-11, as reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
The competition took place in two stages. The first stage was conducted online, where participants wrote essays on the theme of the 2024 motto in Turkmenistan. The second stage was held in person, evaluating conversational skills, writing, and reading. The top 15 essays selected in the first round advanced to the second stage, where the winners and runners-up were determined.
The grand prize of the olympiad was awarded to Leyla Jumageldiyeva from specialized school No. 43 in Ashgabat. The first place was secured by Ramina Gasanova from school No. 27 in Ashgabat. The second and third places went to Guvanch Niyazov from the capital's school No. 4 and Leyli Orazkuliyeva from school No. 10 in Dashoguz region, respectively. The winners received diplomas from the organizing university, while their mentors were awarded special certificates.
