The name of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Kyrgyzstani Zhumaш Asanaliev, has been given to Minsk Secondary School No. 11. This was announced by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus on his Facebook page.

In honor of this significant event, a solemn ceremony was held within the school walls. A memorial plaque was unveiled, speeches were given to the students and guests, and a concert program was enjoyed, as stated in the post.

Zhumash Asanaliev was born on May 10, 1923, in the village of Otuz-Uul, now part of the Ak-Sui district. He was conscripted into the Red Army in 1942 by the Przhevalsk district military commissariat. On June 25, 1944, in a battle with the enemy, unwilling to surrender, he detonated himself and the surrounding fascists with his last grenade. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 22, 1944, for the courage and heroism shown in the fight against the German fascist invaders, Asanaliev Zhumash was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
